Aquaponics is basically growing fish and plants together. It is a symbiotic relationship that is created between the fish and the plants that helps to produce amazing results in gardening. This is a soil-less growing method very similar to hydroponics.
An organic gardening method that utilizes the natural waste produced by the fish to provide nutrients for the plants to grow. In turn, the plants act as a filter for the aquarium water returned to the fish.
Aquaponics is a natural ecosystem that conserves water by using 1/10th of traditional soil-based gardening. Plus, the additional environmental friendly actions of not needing additional fertilizers, or chemicals to induce growth. Everything in the system becomes recyclable and what is not used can be composted.
